SABP gets “hands-on” by deploying community volunteers with initiatives Bay Cleanup, Crab Trap Removal, and Sea Turtle Rescue. My family has been able to participate in some of these events and we’ve seen firsthand both the immediate impact to the area, and the educational impact that will pay dividends in the future as the community becomes more aware of the impact that everyday actions have on their local ecosystems.
They also partner with other local organizations, such as TCEQ’s Environmental Educator of the Year: Texas Floating Classroom, another excellent investment in the next generations’ attitude towards the environment that we all depend on for life and livelihood.
